Please join the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Richmond Hill Mayor Russ Carpenter and other members of the community for Emmanuel Christian Church’s Sanctuary Dedication Ceremony at on Wednesday, Feb. 26th at 12 p.m. ECC ‘s church is located at 866 Clarktown Rd., right off US Hwy. 17 South, one mile behind the Parker’s located outside the City of Richmond Hill.
Emmanuel Christian Church was birthed out of a vision given to its Pastor, Pastor Daniel E. Boyd, while serving as a youth pastor at Mt. Zion MBC in Hinesville, GA, under the direction of, the now Bishop M.L. Jackson. In 2009 Pastor Boyd and First Lady Boyd stepped out in faith and founded Emmanuel Christian Church and Pastor Boyd was installed on January 27, 2010. God has given Pastor Boyd the heart to lead and a heart for serving people and with that enormous gift, and his wife, Elder Elisha Boyd an anointed woman of wisdom and character in her own right, they moved forward with a charge from God to be a resource and solace for God’s people.
The church started at Pastor’s Boyd’s home in Hinesville, always with the intent to move to the City of Richmond Hill, which was done in 2010. After serving at various locations in the Richmond Hill area, ECC landed a home, in October of 2013, at 10200 Ford Ave. where the church saw substantial growth. With outside community and outreach ministries, and marriage, women’s, men’s, youth and singles ministries within, the church began to serve a vital role in the Richmond Hill community.
As ECC continues to serve and grow the vision was birthed to purchase a permanent place to fellowship and worship that will allow more space and opportunity, to serve the community better. In 2017, God graced ECC to purchase 50 acres of land right outside the city limits on Clarktown Road. ECC favored by God broke ground and has completed the sanctuary, the first phase of the building project. There are more future plans for the land to be able to serve its members and the Richmond Hill region at large, as ECC walks out the vision; “Loving God and His people by teaching them the word, by the power of the Holy Spirit,” of our church. Our goal is to offer a place full of hope, energy, and friendly people coming together to learn more about the love of God and how we can best serve Him.
Please join us for a relevant message weekly, great music, and a fresh start with new friends. ECC offers prayer service for all, every Tuesday at 7 p.m., a weekly small group bible study in your area (contact church for details), and Sunday School Services at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Worship Service every Sunday.
We are a church on the move with monthly outreach events, weekly visits to the nursing home every Thursday, a Food Bank Ministry offering food and services to those in need and working with Family Promise of Bryan County to provide support to the homeless.
